Taylor St.  Youth Group

Thank you for your interest in the TS Youth! Our youth group is called "The One"—a name that carries deep meaning:

We are the one lost sheep the Good Shepherd leaves the 99 to find.

We believe all people—Jew and Gentile, slave and free—are one in Christ.

And most importantly, we follow the One true Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Our goal is to prepare teens for a lifelong, growing faith. As they step into adulthood, we want them to leave knowing they are saved by Christ and equipped to follow Him in every part of their lives.

We serve 6th–12th graders through Bible classes, camps, service opportunities, and meaningful fellowship. Our ministry walks alongside teens and their families as they grow in faith and seek ongoing spiritual transformation.

Tuesday Coffee

During the school year, we meet at Undergrounds at 7:00 PM for coffee, connection, and conversation.

In the summer, you can join us every Tuesday at 3:00 PM at Coal Brew for a relaxed time of fellowship and discussion over a good cup of coffee.

Right now, we’re talking about technology—how it influences our daily lives and how we can use it in ways that honor God. Everyone is welcome to pull up a chair and join the conversation!

Annual Camps and Events

Every year, our youth group takes part in camps, retreats, and other events that give students a chance to connect with each other, grow in their faith, and take a break from the routine. These events are a big part of what brings our group together.

  • Camp bandina

Each summer, our youth attend a week at Bandina Christian Youth Camp, usually during the second week of June. It’s open to students entering 7th–12th grade and includes daily Bible classes, worship, outdoor activities, and time to build friendships. It’s a week our group looks forward to every year.

  • OP Camp

Each summer, students from 8th grade through college have the chance to serve at OP Camp in West Texas. It's a camp created for kids who could use extra encouragement and support. Volunteers help as counselors or on rec crew, leading games, worship, small groups, and daily activities.

  • Surprise junior/senior trip

Every other year, we celebrate our high school juniors and seniors with a surprise trip. The destination stays secret until we hit the road, but it’s always something fun and memorable. Past trips have included places like Schlitterbahn in New Braunfels and Six Flags and Hurricane Harbor in Arlington. It’s our way of honoring these students, building community, and giving them a break before the busy season ahead.

  • Encounter le

Every year, our youth group joins Encounter LE, the weekend retreat held the Friday through Sunday before Thanksgiving at Lubbock Christian University. It’s a chance to pause the school-year rush and reconnect with God alongside peers. The weekend includes speakers, small group sessions, worship, games, and entertainment, all packed into a meaningful time of spiritual growth.

  • WINTERFEST

Each January on Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, our youth group travels to Winterfest in Fort Worth, Texas. It’s a weekend of powerful worship, solid teaching, and time spent growing in faith alongside students from all over. While we are there we partner with Mission Arlington for a morning of hands-on ministry. It’s a meaningful and memorable way to start the year.
